Your eyes slowly opened as you awoke from your deep sleep. You still felt groggy, and every inch of your body was aching with pain as if you had bruises everywhere.

As your hazy vision gradually cleared, you turned your head to face your window. The sun was already high in the sky, which meant that it was probably around noon by now.

You close your eyes and place your right hand on your forehead, slowly messaging it. So many things were swirling in your head that it was giving you a headache. Little snippets of last night's events played in your head, and your head throbbed even more. You quickly shooed away the thought, hoping that your mind would find something else to ponder about.

You were just about to bring your other hand to message your forehead, but something tugged at it. You brought your attention to your left hand, only to see a pale hand holding it.

It was Jack. He was quietly sleeping, his head rested on your bed.

You couldn't help but smile at the sight, he looked so adorable just sleeping there, and he was holding your hand like it was some stuffed toy.

He slowly woke up, emitting a soft yawn as his head lifted from the bed. He stared at you briefly before realizing that he was holding your hand. His eyes widened and he let go of your hand. A pink color dusted on his cheeks.

"Well this is bad, I'm supposed to be looking after you but I fell asleep." He gave out a dry laugh.

You stared at your left hand for awhile, suddenly feeling sad that his hand wasn't holding yours anymore.

"So, how are you feeling?" Jack asked, breaking you out of your trance.

"Well, I've felt worse than this, so I guess I'm okay." You replied back with a weak smile.

"That's good to hear. Anyways, I laid out some clothes for you." He said, slowly pointing his finger at the end of your bed.

You raised your head to look, and like he said, neatly placed at your feet were fresh clean clothes. You noticed there were even undergarments, making you blush.

Jack quickly noticed your blushing face and quickly responded, "Don't worry, I didn't look too much into your closet, I practically just took out whatever I laid my eyes on first!"

You let out a small giggle before replying, "It's alright. I never thought you'd care so much that you'd even get clothes for me."

"Well, you should probably change." He said, slowly standing up and walking towards the door.

When the door finally shut with a click, you got up and started to strip off your crusty clothing.

The outfit Jack chose was definitely not something that you would wear out of your house, but all that mattered right now was that you got out of your filthy clothes.

When you were finally snug into your clean clothes, you grabbed the pile of your old clothes and tossed them into the hamper.

Feeling too weak to do anything else, you snuggled back into the warm safety of your blanket.

Jack entered into your room again, making the room feel colder than it had been just a few seconds ago. He then settled at the foot of your bed, his blue eyes intently staring at you.

"Are you just going to stare at me for the whole day or what?" you asked the winter spirit, breaking the odd silence and tension between you two.

"Maybe." he said with a wink, "Would you like it if I just stared at you forever?" he teased.

Your face suddenly heated up causing you to pull up the blanket to cover your face. You tried to come up with a reasonable answer, but every sentence that you made in your head didn't sound right.

You pulled the blanket down, slowly peaking out to check if Jack was still staring at you.

And there he was, still staring at you, but oddly at a closer distance than he was before.

You pulled the blanket up to cover your face again, before slowly moving it back down to check if he moved closer again.

And sure enough, he was still staring at you, closer than he was than last time. The small "game" lasted for a few minutes before Jack's face was finally inches before yours.

You gradually pulled down the blanket, revealing Jack's face. His face was way too close for comfort, and his cold breath was grazing your face. His face moved closer, closing the space between you two, and you close your eyes tightly. You expected his lips crashing onto yours, but to your disappointment, instead of his lips ramming into yours, you felt his fingers tightly pinch your nose.

"I'm nipping at your nose.~" he said in a playful tone.

"What the heck? That's not nipping! You just pinched my nose!" you exclaimed, "I thought you were going to do something else!?" you blurted out, quickly covering your mouth after realizing what you just said.

"Do something else? What do you mean?" he chuckled as he plopped himself on the side of your bed.

"N-Nothing!" you reply back, covering your face in total embarrassment.

"Nothing? Are you sure?" he said, teasing you even more.

"I swear! Nothing! J-just forget what I said!" you stammered your cheeks now filled with a bright red color.

"Fine, I'll forget it." he laughed, "You really are something [name]."

Your heartbeat quickened as he said your name. The way he said your name pulled at your heartstrings, just hearing him say it made you melt. You suddenly shook your head furiously like a lunatic, trying to get rid of the thought.
